The European Project Sala + organizes workdays of Cooperation between the European Union and Colombia on Research and Development in Networked Electronic Media (NEM) during the congress Andicom 2009, an event organized by the Telecommunications Research Center (CINTEL).

Conceived as a 'Support Action' (SA) and funded by the European Commission, the SALA + Project seeks to promote international cooperation between researchers in NEM, technology centers, companies, universities and experts from Europe and Colombia. For this purpose, the workdays on Cooperation that Sala + holds in Cartagena de Indias, during the Congress Andicom will be a space to promote the formation of consortia seeking to generate project proposals in support programs for R&D cooperation within the Seventh Framework Program (FP7) of the European Commission, which has a budget exceeding 5.000 billion Euros for 2007-2013.

SALA + will provide information about relevant European initiatives and proposals in the European Technology Platform NEM and the Spanish Technology Platform eNEM, as well as details of programs to assist eligible entities in Latin America in general and in Colombia in particular, to encourage Research and Development of Audiovisual Technology Networks.
